Oyez! Oyez! Oyez!
For the fourth time, the beautiful Surrey town of Haslemere will be hosting their Town Crier Competition on Bank Holiday Monday the 7th May 2018 during the town's biannual Charter Fair.
In addition to competing for the 'Tennyson Trophy', (a dramatic bronze statue of a 17th Lancer of the Light Brigade - a famous military action immortalised in Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem 'The Charge of the Light Brigade'), the criers will also be competing for the accolade of South of England Champion.
The competition will take place in the beautiful gardens of the Haslemere Educational Museum, where the public can come to see and hear some of the country's top criers in action.
